A man was waking up after surgery, and his wife was sitting by his side. His eyes fluttered open.

“You’re beautiful!” he said, and fell asleep again.

His wife had never heard him say that, so she stayed by his side.

Twenty minutes later, his eyes fluttered open again. “You’re cute!” he said.

“What happened to beautiful?” the wife asked.

He replied, “The drugs are wearing off.”
